Henry Ford Health’s long‑running Healthy Heart free heart screening event will reach more communities than ever this year, expanding to a record nine locations on April 18, including three sites hosting the event for the first time: Henry Ford Jackson Hospital, Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, and Henry Ford Medical Center – Second Avenue in Detroit, located near Henry Ford Health’s flagship Henry Ford Hospital.
Participants receive a free whole‑heart checkup, including an electrocardiogram (EKG), along with blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), and blood glucose screenings. Attendees will receive their results the same day and meet one‑on‑one with a doctor. Stroke assessments and education on weight loss, diet, and nutrition are also provided.
In addition to the three new sites, Healthy Heart will take place April 18 at Henry Ford Genesys Heart Center in Grand Blanc; Henry Ford Macomb Hospital; Henry Ford Rochester Hospital; Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital; Henry Ford St. John Hospital in Detroit; and Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital.
