Wellness & Beauty Consumer Product Summit

Michigan Economic Development Center

MEDC’s Pure Michigan Business Connect (PMBC) and the City of Southfield have joined forces to present a highly anticipated Wellness & Beauty Consumer Product Summit on October 24. With the objective of fostering invaluable connections and knowledge exchange, PMBC is proud to offer a platform where wellness and beauty brands can engage with esteemed industry professionals and prospective buyers. By spotlighting Michigan’s thriving community of micro-makers and manufacturers, this summit is poised to cultivate stronger and enduring business relationships within the ecosystem, fortifying the state’s reputation as a hub of innovation and entrepreneurial excellence.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Summit will feature a wellness and beauty consumer product makers’ expo, vetted by an application process. We are excited to provide 10-15 selected suppliers with the opportunity to set up their expo booths, allowing them to present their innovative offerings to a discerning audience. In addition, we are extending invitations to potential buyers, investors, and resource partners to attend the event as esteemed guests.

We have incorporated a pitch competition into the program to add an extra layer of excitement. Prospective applicants interested in participating can express their interest by submitting the show application before the deadline on July 7. The winner will receive up to $5,000 in business support services, including $2500 in intellectual property (IP) legal services, from the registered patent attorneys of Ward Law Office in Southfield and $2500 in operation analysis, brand analysis, and storytelling, social media audit and plan a video feature by Stack Brands. Guest judges include Herman Moore, Co-Founder of Stack Brands, Mark Young, CEO of Jekyll + Hyde Labs and Pete Martin, tech veteran.

Finally, the program will feature a fireside chat with a special guest: Vesna Deljosevic, president of Reforma Group, who will discuss best practices, do’s and don’ts of the industry, and “How She’s Become a Success,” moderated by Dan Randomski from Centrepolis.
