Governor Gretchen Whitmer acknowledged the contributions of entrepreneurs across the state with the proclamation of Small Business Week, April 30 – May 6. This week is a time to celebrate the small business owners who serve as a vital anchor of Michigan’s vibrant communities, fostering economic growth and opportunities for families and workers. The governor also reiterated the state’s commitment to providing a strong network of resources to support small businesses through the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s (MEDC) Small Business Services and Solutions team.
Great Lakes Women’s Business Council can earn grant funding when 200 people sign up for the Verizon Skill Forward Readiness Program and our goal is for at least 50 people to complete a course!
