Governor Gretchen Whitmer acknowledged the contributions of entrepreneurs across the state with the proclamation of Small Business Week, April 30 – May 6. This week is a time to celebrate the small business owners who serve as a vital anchor of Michigan’s vibrant communities, fostering economic growth and opportunities for families and workers. The governor also reiterated the state’s commitment to providing a strong network of resources to support small businesses through the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s (MEDC) Small Business Services and Solutions team.
These awards honor organizations that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to advancing engagement, supporting small businesses, and fostering inclusive procurement strategies.
