Marketing Coordinator

Reports to the Marketing & Engagement Manager | Full-Time Position 

Objective | Assist Marketing & Engagement Manager in implementing marketing plan and events

Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

  • Assist with marketing activities for signature events (in-person, virtual)
  • Assist with other marketing and communication projects
  • Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
  • Craft and post engaging relevant content to constantly align content with customer trends and market changes to interest and engage people on website and social media
  • Create social media marketing campaigns and use #hashtags
  • Develop, implement, and manage Great Lakes WBC social media strategy
  • Interacting with clients and other stakeholders via social media accounts
  • Measure the success of every social media campaign
  • Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization
  • Prepare monthly social media performance and analysis reports
  • Provide constructive feedback
  • Regularly post text, video and images that engage the company’s target market, follow online conversations on a company’s social media accounts and solve customer concerns using social media platforms
  • Researching social media trends and informing management of changes that are relevant to the company’s marketing activities
  • SEO (search engine optimization) and generation of inbound traffic
  • Setting key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns, such as targets for a certain number of followers and measuring a campaign’s performance against the KPIs
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Work with a sense of urgency according to schedules and meet business goals

Desired Skills:

  • Marketing experience required
  • Strong social media knowledge and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Marketing or Communication preferred
  • Video experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently as well as with committees
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database programs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Skilled in using social media platforms and tools that analyze social media
  • Time management and organizing tasks to meet deadlines is essential
  • Must be able to perform virtually as well as in office
