Advertising in the Program Book

You can increase traffic at your company's Women's Business Showcase and Reception space by an average of 46% by advertising in the conference program, according to the Center for Exhibition Industry Research. Conference attendees refer to the program many times throughout the event to learn about speaker and workshops. After the conference the program is a valuable reference tool.

To ensure placement in the program book to be distributed at the Great Lakes Women's Business Conference, please submit artwork NO LATER than Friday, August 18, 2017 to Betty Aiko - .

PROGRAM BOOK Ad sizes:

  • FULL PAGE – (8.5 X 11 Full bleed)
  • HALF PAGE – (7.5W X 4.875H- Trim Size ad)
  • Quarter PAGE – (3.625W X 4.875H- Trim Size ad)

SUBMITTING ARTWORK

The preferred method of submission is electronic
  • .AI (Adobe Illustrator) .PSD (Adobe Photoshop), .EPS, .PDF, JPG, .TIF
  • All files should be sent in CMYK. Any files submitted in RGB may experience unacceptable color shifting. All files submitted in RGB are automatically converted to CMYK
  • All files must include a 1/8" (0.125 inch) bleed per dimension regardless if your design bleeds to the edge or not. An example of bleed setup for a 4" x 6" postcard would be 4.125" x 6.125"
  • All rasterized (bitmap) images must be at least 300 dpi
  • NEVER include crop marks in your artwork. Always submit your artwork at trim size + bleed. An example of bleed setup for a 4" x 6" postcard would be 4.125" x 6.125"
  • All file submittals must have fonts embedded or converted to outline

CONTRACTUAL CONSIDERATIONS

These contractual considerations governing the exhibitors under the auspices of the Great Lakes Women’s Business Council, (Great Lakes WBC).

CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY: The GREAT LAKES WBC reserves the right to determine the eligibility of any company, product or service, and the right to restrict, prohibit or evict any participant or product that, in the opinion of GREAT LAKES WBC detracts from the character of the event or for any violation of the contractual considerations. In the event of such restriction or eviction, GREAT LAKES WBC shall not be held liable for the refund or exhibit fees or any other costs incurred by the exhibitor. Violation of the Terms and Conditions may also result in a loss of exhibitor property. Companies wishing to exhibit/sponsor must be in good financial standing with GREAT LAKES WBC.

LIABILITY: The exhibitor assumes the entire responsibility and hereby agrees to protect, indemnify, defend and hold harmless the GREAT LAKES WBC and its employees and agents against all claims, losses, and damages to persons and property, governmental charges or fines and attorney’s fees arising out of or caused by an exhibitor’s installation, removal, maintenance, occupancy, or use of exhibit premises or part thereof. GREAT LAKES WBC will not be bound to any verbal agreements, representations, or statements between exhibiting companies or their representatives and GREAT LAKES WBC staff, GREAT LAKES WBC, or other parties unless confirmed in writing by the GREAT LAKES WBC Show Management staff.

SPACE DETAILS: Each exhibitor will receive one 6’ x 30” skirted table, two opalside chairs, one wastebasket, and a tabletop identification sign. Approved Items for Exhibitors: GREAT LAKES WBC has approved the following items. All exhibitors are required to adhere to these guidelines. No floor displays will be allowed! Displays that fit on 6’ table are approved. Booth signage will be provided. If you’d like to bring a banner or your own signage that fits in front of 6’ table provided, that’s okay. Electricity is not available for this event. Public address, sound-producing, and amplifying devices are prohibited; music is not allowed to be played. No exhibitors will provide or distribute alcohol in the exhibit area or from their booth space. GREAT LAKES WBC reserves the right to rearrange or adjust the floor plan in the best interest of the show. Subleasing and sharing of exhibit space is prohibited. All signs, displays, and products in the exhibits must be related to the exhibiting company.

MEMBERSHIP AND REGISTRATION FEE POLICY: (All registrants and sponsors) Prior to admittance, all registrants must pay the event fee. Checks or credit cards will be taken at the registration desk.

PAYMENT TERMS: Payment in full must be received with your registration form. The GREAT LAKES WBC will not assign a booth to any exhibitor without payment in full.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS: All cancellations must be made in writing (mail/fax/email) and are subject to a $20 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations after September 22, 2017. SPACE ASSIGNMENT: Space assignments are made on the basis of priority, availability, and need, with assignments made in the best interest of the facility. GREAT LAKES WBC reserves the right to alter a participant’s assigned space if it is deemed necessary and in the best interest of the facility. Before exercising its discretion GREAT LAKES WBC will consult with the WBE.

CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT:The GREAT LAKES WBC reserves the right to finalize all contractual agreements with all exhibitors. All reservations from companies wishing to exhibit will be considered by the GREAT LAKES WBC to be and the vendor agrees to abode by the decisions of GREAT LAKES WBC relating to table locations and activity, and as an acceptance on the part of the exhibiting company of all policies and regulations as set forth herein. Exhibitors agree that they, their employees, and their agents will observe all GREAT LAKES WBC policies and regulations herein. Exhibiting companies will be held responsible for the actions of the individuals affiliated with that company. Violators will be penalized in the assignment of space at future GREAT LAKES WBC events and/or financial recompense to GREAT LAKES WBC to recover monetary damages.

GENERAL: Exhibitors will receive information from the GREAT LAKES WBC setting forth additional rules and regulations. Exhibitors may not distribute, or permit to be distributed, any advertising materials, literature, souvenir items or promotional materials, in or about the Women’s Business Showcase and Reception area except within the confines of its own.
